A Request

I am wondering if you could ask any of your club members , particularly those with MG BGT's if they have second hand pair of front wings they wouldn't mind selling.

I have a friend who races BGT's and needs a pair so he can change his race classification.

Hope you can help.

Dorset Area Midget and Sprite Club  Birthday  Bash

The Dorset Area of the Midget and Sprite Club (DAMASC) is organising a ‘birthday bash’ to celebrate 60 years since the AH ‘Frogeye’ Sprite was announced to the public in the glamourous location of Monaco.

The diary date is Sunday 20th May 2018– 60 years to the day after the launch event.

The party is being run at the Holme Bush Inn, Old Wareham Road, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 3RZ, which is the same venue at which we hold our club nights. It is in central Dorset just South of Wimborne and north of Poole.

We are pleased to say that there will not be an entry fee for any classic cars and occupants but pre-booking will be required.

Obviously we are still in the middle of organising the event but to give you an idea of what is being currently organised there will be:

Live music

Holme Bush Inn (food and drink)

Fund raising stalls

… and good company

Winchester MGOC Cobweb Run

Sunday 25th March 10am to 2pm

WMGOCs first major event of 2018 will be our annual Cobweb, where we invite you to pull the MG from the garage, dust off those winter cobwebs and come along to Sparsholt College on the outskirts of Winchester.  Hopefully you will be able to join us, have some fun and help to raise some money for charity.

Entry is £5 per car

Please complete your applications and payments by 26th February.  In the meantime we will be doing our best to book some good weather.

As usual we are aiming to provide a fun challenge of some sort for your amusement and the College itself has a hidden gem in the form of its very own zoo.  This houses over 1200 animals and is part of its Animal Management & Veterinary Nursing Training Centre.  We have been able to secure a limited number of guided tours of this facility at an additional cost of £5 per person.  There will be 3 tours, each limited to 15 people, so please book early to avoid disappointment

Harrogate MG 2018

Incorporating MGOC Northen National

Sunday 12th August 2018

Bewerley Park, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, HG3 5BD

Hope you are looking forward to another happy year of classic car trips and meetings.

On behalf of the Chairman and Committee of Harrogate MG Club I would like to invite your members to attend the HARROGATE MG 2018 event.

We are returning to Pateley Bridge for our 33rd show, which is being held over the weekend of 11th & 12th August 2018.  The show day is Sunday 12th August

I have attached a flyer, and a Club Stand entry form which I would ask you to return to book your Club Stand.  Why not take advantage of the new discounted entrance fee of £4.25 per person for prepaid entry tickets.  You only need to purchase 5 or more tickets to qualify for this new rate.  Your members paying on the day will still have to pay the normal entrance feel of £5.00.

We are pleased to announce that we now have a full evening of entertainment on Saturday night, in addition to the usual BBQ.  Camping is available again this year so why not make a weekend of it?

Could I ask you to please put the flyer on your Club website/Facebook page to let your members know about the event should any of them wish to come along as individuals, rather than on a club stand where they could all park together, as there is lots of MG, and other parking, and all marques are very welcome.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding the Club Stands at the show.

We hope we can welcome you and some of your members to our event.

With best wishes

Maureen Hallam

Cotswold Caper on Sunday 1st July

Gloucestershire MG Owners Club

On a run of almost 100 miles you will see the fabulous Cotswold Hills and this year we’ll also explore the Malverns. We start and finish this year’s run at Seasons Conference Centre in Cheltenham, which we used as our base 2 years ago for our 2016 event.

As you’ve come to expect, there will be sights, scenery and surprises on this journey of discovery and delight!

This year’s charity will be the Great Western Air Ambulance. The Great Western Air Ambulance is a charity which is unsupported by any government funding or taxpayers’ money. It has recently expanded to cover North Gloucestershire with its helicopter based just outside Tewkesbury at Strensham.

The entry cost is unchanged at £25 for a Rally Plaque and Route Guide book. We are restricting the number of entries to 150 this year, so be sure to get your entry in.

More details and an entry form can be found at
